Subject: TRANSFAC ® upgraded to version 10.2
We have made an upgrade to TRANSFAC ®, the transciption factor database. The new version includes new MATCH and PATCH versions (10.2)
The number of entries in the database has grown considerably. Below are the current statistics:
| Table |
Description |
Entries |
| FACTOR |
Transcription factors, proteins that regulate gene transcription by sequence-specific interaction with DNA, and their interacting proteins. |
8406 |
| GENE |
Genes with transcription factor binding sites (regulated genes) and/or genes encoding for transcription factors. (Also genes connected to one of our other databases.) |
18495
|
| SITE |
DNA sequences to which binding of a transcription factor was shown. |
17905 |
| ChIP-chip |
DNA fragments to which in vivo binding of a transcription factor was shown by ChIP-chip or related experiments. |
